What we've done so far
We've launched a campaign across the Manhood to raise support to ask Government and Chichester District Council to reduce housing numbers.
We held a meeting with Gillian Keegan MP on Friday 10 January 2020 in Hunston Village Hall. Representatives of the 11 parishes on the Peninsula attended, along with District and County Councillors. We’ve held roadside protests on:
Monday 5 October 2020 on the B2145 as it joins the A27 north of Hunston
Monday 12 October 2020 on the A286 as it joins the A27 in Donnington
Monday 19 October 2020 on the A259 east of Fishbourne towards the A27
Monday 26 October 2020 on the B2145 leaving Selsey by the Asda supermarket
We’ve organised a demonstration at the Chichester District Council offices on 9 June 2021 – we were featured on Meridian News and in the Chichester Observer
We organised a visit to Sidlesham Waste Water Treatment Works on 1 September 2021 to fully understand how the system should work
We've asked questions of Chichester District Council
We've had articles printed in the Chichester Observer and Chichester Post
We've formed this Action Group to spread our concerns far and wide and to provide a forum for Manhood Peninsula residents to share their concerns We meet regularly.
We have launched this website and a social media campaign
We have opened a bank account so we can raise funds for publicity campaigns and possibly legal advice
